@Dawn Sutherland: thank you!

Jason Kravitz from Brussels, Belgium

that is an impressive pile-up - looks precarious !

@Jason Kravitz: felt a little precarious standing under it! (... and thank you for visiting and running a great site!)

Marcie from United States

This is great! I can't imagine that they actually do this with cars. How do they stack them like this? Very cool.

1 Aug 2008 4:17pm

@Marcie: thanks! they're (or were) on a 50 foot steel spike in the middle of a parking lot. it has since been toppled to make way for a walgreens (local drugstore chain)...

April from Wuhan, China

cool! why are these cars piled up? great shot with the blue sky as background though. =)

@April: thank you! it was a rather infamous local attraction in a shopping mall filled with other unusual bits of sculpture...

Stefan from Thiersee, Austria

Great!

Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, France

A strange & impressive cars piling up !! Is it a modern-art sculpture ? Indeed an interesting subject. Another one where we can see the height of the pile ?

1 Aug 2008 9:03pm

@Evelyne Dubos: yes, it was approximately 50 feet high and called 'the spindle' by dustin shuler. they tore it down recently to make way for a drugstore. if you 'image' google it you can see numerous pictures of it - or just rent an old copy of wayne's world!
