And funny the contrast with the orange thing, but what is it ? 26 Jul 2008 7:48am @Evelyne Dubos: thank you! i believe it's a small chip of a a pumice-like material (the image when viewed "small" on an average monitor is approximately life-size) that caught my eye because of its color. there's lots of tiny bits of things (including some very determined plant life) out on the lake bed - which is of course most famous for its mysterious 'moving' rocks...
