@Observing: yes and no - actually it's a high speed (1/1250) capture from a series of frames
i took of him (playfully) running at me - the 'standing' pose is a momentary illusion...

Gorgeous tiger and wonderful capture. I was surprised to see it up on it's hind feet. I feel sorry for it being caged.

@sherri: thank you! you'll be happy to know that 'obie' is a very spoiled 'little' tiger who gets
plenty of stuffed toys and attention (including an annual well attended birthday party
complete with a paper pinata and meat cake!) and also happens to be one of my more
cooperative photo subjects (when he's not splashing me in his pool!)...
